Support for you and the people you love
Are you feeling increasingly lonely, discouraged, overwhelmed or burnout in your relationship with your child, parent or partner?
No judgment. We start from the belief that you’re doing your best.
We believe that everyone, parents, partners and children alike, is doing the best they can with what they have in any given moment.
At the same time, doing the best you can with old tools isn’t the same as having effective skills. We help our clients learn new and different ways of interacting because we believe that with the right guidance, everyone can do better and find more connection along the way.
OUR APPROACH
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy
We use Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), the gold standard treatment for emotion dysregulation, to help our clients better manage their emotions, express themselves more accurately, and hear each other more compassionately.
Our emotions are often at their biggest in the context of our relationships. Family, Parent and Couples interactions can play a direct role in either maintaining or intensifying emotional dysregulation. DBT is an invaluable type of therapy for relationship work because it empowers you to better regulate your emotions and recognize the patterns of dysfunction that are keeping you stuck in a cycle on repeat.
What is Dialectical Behaviour Therapy?
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) is an evidence-based approach that helps people regulate intense emotions, tolerate distress, and communicate more effectively with the people in their lives.
Originally developed for individuals struggling with emotion dysregulation, DBT has since become one of the most well-researched approaches for improving how people manage emotions and relate to others, making it especially effective for couples, parents, and families navigating conflict.
A skills-based therapy that focuses on balancing both acceptance and change.
